New windows and kitchen remodeling

Filed under: kitchen, vinyl windows — scottdh @ 4:36 am

What would that look like? A nice newly remodeled kitchen – cabinets, granite countertop, the works, and yet your kitchen window is one of those old aluminum frame jobs. Or perhaps an old wood frame window with so many coats of paint it’s glued shut.

Replacing windows is best done before doing a kitchen remodeling project, because depending on the type of replacement (over the frame vs new frame) there will be varying amounts of damage inside the kitchen.

If you’re considering a remodeling your kitchen, do be sure to do your windows first, and then step on over to out kitchen remodeling blog for some good ideas

  1. I could not agree anymore !! Whenever you decide to start your kitchen remodeling project one of your first concerns should be any windows you may have in it. Why should windows be done first? Sometimes when replacing kitchen windows you have to modify the openings to accept the new windows due to rotten wood frames, size limitations to mention a few. Well the best time for these modifications to occur is before you buy your kitchen cabinnets so you can properly size them based omn your work area. Too many times I have seen a kitchen window above the sink replaced that had to be made bigger or smaller and then when the cabinets arrive they no longer fit. Some of the best kitchen remodels are the ones that are well planned from start to finish. Good luck to all and Happy Remodeling From all of the employees at:
